Student Coach/Resource at Lucksta School

Sundsvall Municipality is one of Northern Sweden's largest employers with around 8,000 employees and over 300 professions. Together, we fulfill one of the most important missions in society – to create benefit and value for residents, businesses, and future generations. Regardless of the activity, we work towards the same goal: to be a good place to live, thrive, and work.

We are currently in an exciting phase of development. We are a pioneer in digital development and artificial intelligence, leading the effort to create smart solutions for the future public sector.

Sundsvall plays a central role in the green transition in Northern Sweden. We are convinced that the right places for this transition are here. As a municipality, we are preparing to grow by preparing land, creating new educational opportunities, promoting the municipality, and welcoming new residents from all over the world.

Within the Department of Children and Education, our approximately 3,000 employees meet around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools throughout the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall Municipality's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and achieve their goals according to their own conditions. Every student should leave school with the will, knowledge, and good conditions to meet adult life and the future.

We are the small school with the big heart that gives students the greatest opportunities. At Lucksta School, we combine the strengths of a smaller school with closeness and a relational approach where all students are everyone's students, and we want to provide students with the very best education. Whether it is in the student's initial school journey in preschool class, in after-school care, or the last year of primary school, the student at Lucksta School is seen and met exactly where they are. It is our mission to develop all students as far as possible, and we are equally proud and happy to have been given that responsibility. We believe in clear, pedagogical leadership, an accessible learning environment, and differentiated teaching. We conduct a thoughtful systematic quality work aimed at preventing pedagogical obstacles in the school day for the student's learning and health, a collaborative effort for the whole school.
